Excursions
The school conducts whole school excursions where all children from Kindergarten to Year 6 attend. Parents are issued with payment books and asked to contribute a small amount each week to help cover costs.
Parents who are experiencing financial difficulty are encouraged to speak confidentially to the Principal.
Local and National Competitions
Students in Years 3-6 enter the University of New South Wales Competitions, the Primary Research Project and the Henry Lawson Society Poetry Competition. The whole school enters the Book Week Competition, the CWA International Day Competition and the Premier’s Reading Challenge. The school submits entries to the Mudgee Show.
Combined Small Schools Gatherings
The school meets with other small schools for themed days. These days are designed to give children the opportunity to meet children from other schools. Many friendships are formed from these days.
Principals and staff from small schools meet regularly to network and support each other.
